XIV. MULTIPLE MYELOMA WORKSHOP WITH INTERNATIONAL PARTICIPATION, THE ANNUAL MEETING OF CZECH MYELOMA GROUP

In the picturesque Moravian town of Mikulov, in Galant hotel, medical doctors attended the traditional workshop focusing on Multiple Myeloma, this time for the 14th time.

As part of this event, meeting of the Czech Myeloma Group was held. The experts shared their experience with the diagnosis and therapy of multiple myeloma and its related diagnoses. Evaluation and planning for preclinical and clinical research in this area was discussed as well. As part of the Friday evening programme prof. Bart Barlogie spoke to the audience, he dedicated his speech to the possibilities of intensive medical treatment options leading to recovery of patients with multiple myeloma. Prof. Barlogie subsequently received Kahler Achievement Award in the field of monoclonal gammopathy.

Over the course of the two days, in parallel with the main program, there were also sections focusing on genomic, biochemical and flowcytometric issues. Attention was also paid to the ongoing research projects and the state of the RMG registry.
